I wasn't there. I don't know, but this story seems to confirm the things I heard in the days after Katrina. It seems that the first stories we heard were true and everything after has been attempts to "fix" or "mend" the rumors that New Orleans was a dangerous place. That's no rumor. That's the truth. Amen, amen and amen! Levees can and should be built--that's a job for the federal government. But rebuilding New Orleans wiser and better--that's a job for us locals. No one can fix the politics, police, schools or other problems but us right here.
