Thankfully you left out any Ernie-K-Doe references or songs.

"They All Ask'd For You" was indeed performed by The Meters and can be found on the 2-CD set "Funkify Your Life" from Rhino Records.

I have a lot of Mardi Gras songs in my collection. One that's pretty good in a slightly different way is "The Day After Mardi Gras Day" by Alex McMurray on his Banjaxed CD (you can find it on CDBaby.com). It captures the mood of the aftereffects of Ash Wednesday morning.

Do you think they would have that at Louisiana Music Factory? If so, I will make sure to get it next time I am in town.
